Meher Pudumjee took over as Chairperson of Thermax Limited on October 5, 2004 after the retirement of Mrs. Anu Aga.

A postgraduate in chemical engineering from the Imperial College of Science & Technology, London, Meher joined Thermax as a trainee engineer in August 1990.

A year later, along with her husband Pheroz Pudumjee, she took over the responsibility of managing a Thermax subsidiary company in the UK. She was primarily responsible for the functions of finance, procurement and general administration, apart from playing a role in new product development and planning. The company saw a successful turnaround in the 4 years.
