COMING TOGETHER ROUNDTABLE

Dear Friends:

Many, many thanks for your past support and interaction at the “Coming Together Roundtable”. As you are aware, the idea of holding a “Coming Together Roundtable” emerged in London as the legacy of the Zoroastrian World Congress organized by the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe. Our sincere thanks go to the hosts Dorab Mistry and Paurush Jilla.  Since then we have held two other Roundtables both in Mumbai in January 2007 and January 2008. With your indulgence our bonds are getting stronger and our network spreading.
 
Our next Roundtable is scheduled in Houston on December 31, 2008 from 10 AM to 4 PM.  It will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Annual General meeting of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce and the 10^th Anniversary Celebration of the Zarathushti Heritage & Cultural Center from December 28 to 31, 2008. During the past few months, you may have already seen various announcements advertising the four day event that includes a day trip to San Antonio, a visit to an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, a WZCC awards dinner and a grand party to ring in the New Year 2009.  We are hoping that you have marked your calendar for attending the Roundtable on December 31, 2008. For those who want to make a family vacation out of this event, a special 4 day Western Caribbean cruise is also available.

The Roundtable is a meeting place for Zarathushtis worldwide where items of common interest affecting the worldwide Zarathushti community are discussed and action items identified with owners who will work as facilitators with like minded volunteers to develop those themes.  At the last January 2008 Roundtable it was decided that an administrative assistant be appointed with contributions from interested persons. This task was assigned to Yazdi Tantra who has moved forward with the appointment of Percis Dubash who has been giving us a hand to process the action items that have been generated at the Roundtable. An interim report will be prepared by Percis shortly and distributed for your information and knowledge.
