Art shows hope for peace

 

THE EXHIBIT – Art for Peace

• Where: Shangri-La Art Gallery, 2801 W. Sam Houston Parkway, Houston, Texas, USA
• When: Feb. 3-14, 2009
• Hours: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday; 12-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday
• Reception: 5 p.m-8 p.m. Feb. 7, 2009 with a welcome by Mohammad Aqil Nadeem, consul general of Pakistan in Houston
• Benefit: Part of the proceeds from Engineer’s exhibit will be donated to Developments in Literacy (DIL), a U.S.-based nonprofit group started by Pakistani-Americans that operates 150 schools, many in isolated villages, serving 15,000 students.

Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer’s work will be on exhibit at the Shangri-La art gallery,
in Houston, Texas from February 3rd to February 14th 2009
