Dear Friends:
This may be of interest to some of us.
Although I myself have not heard much about the program.

Dear Friends,
Please consider participating in United We Serve (www.serve.org), a campaign
designed by the Obama administration to inspire and highlight American
volunteerism amidst recovery and renewal.
During the week of August 31-September 6, there will be a special focus on
multi-religious forms of service. The Interreligious Cooperation Task Force of
the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships (WHOFBNP)
is encouraging broad participation.
This is a great opportunity to highlight the ways in which our organizations,
communities, and coalitions are building a culture of pluralism through
volunteerism and service. Pe
ase go to www.serve.org and log information about
your organization’s service projects – whether they fall during the highlighted
week or not – and share your stories through blogs, pictures, and video clips.
We look forward to your contributions.
Sincerely,
The Pluralism Project
p.s. We wish to pass along apologies from the Task Force to our Muslim
colleagues, as the highlighted week chosen by the government falls during
Ramadan. Please be assured that the Task Force, which includes several Muslim
participants, strives to bring sensitivity to such realities in all of its
recommendations.

If any Zoroastrian community or group organizes itself and participates in the program
please inform us with a photo and a short write-up and we shall try to share the
good news within our own community.
