The documentary movie Grass was filmed and produced by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack among the Bakhtyari tribe of South-West Iran in 1924. The film is a vivid record of the almost insurmountable difficulties that faced the tribe when they migrated twice yearly in their search for green pasture. The two filmmakers were later to gain fame as the creators of King Kong.
