Nowruz and Zoroastrians* Deena Guzder’s Interview on ‘Interfaith Voices’
NOWRUZ AND ZOROASTRIANS * * * DEENA GUZDER’S INTERVIEW ON ‘INTERFAITH VOICES’
My Dear Friends:
With immense pride and joy, I like to share this special interview of Deena Guzder with Interfaith Voices highlighting
Nowruz and Zoroastrians.
Interfaith Voices is a nationally-syndicated public radio show about religion based in Washington DC
As an avid advocate of human rights, Deena Guzder, our outstannding young Zarathushti has reported on human rights issues from Bangkok, Tehran, Mumbai, and beyond.
She is the author of a forthcoming book, A Higher Calling, on progressive religious radicals for social justice, currently scheduled for release by Chicago Review Press in 2010.
This interview enlightens humanity by sharing:
Even if you’re not a Zoroastrian, your religion (if you have one) wouldn’t be the same without it. It’s one of the world’s oldest traditions, predating Islam, Christianity and even Judaism.
Zoroastrians introduced many of the religious concepts we know today, like angels and demons, belief in one God, and the idea of a final judgment day.
With the Zoroastrian New Year Nowruz approaching, Zoroastrian Deena Guzder joins us with more about the holiday and this ancient, vibrant faith.
BRAVO DEENA. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SWEETHEART.
