Announcement and invitation to the Coming Together Roundtable (CTR) – Houston 2010
The last Coming Together Roundtable (CTR) held in conjuntion with the World Congress in Dubai, was a momentous event, establishing the regional heads of the four major regions (India, Iran, N. America and UK/Europe) to serve as co-chairs and take ownership of the CTR. For a report and photographs of the Dubai CTR meetings, please visit www.zoroastrians.net. It gives us great pleasure in knowing that we are beginning to “come together and work together” to realize our potential and act in consort with each other for the greater good of our worldwide community and humanity at large. With each Roundtable meeting our direction becomes clearer and our resolve stronger.
This is an early announcement for the next CTR to assist you in making your travel plans.
The CTR will be held in Houston on December 27 and 28, 2010, just prior to the NA Zoroastrian Congress from December 29 – 31. The meeting will commence on December 27 at 9:30 am finishing at 5:00 PM and then continue the next morning, December 28, ending in the early afternoon. The CTR will be followed by the WZCC meeting in the late afternoon of December 28. You will notice that a 2 day CTR meeting is planned instead of the customary 1 day meeting to allow more time for discussions and full coverage of all items on the agenda.
The CTR will be co-chaired by the regional leadership — Dinshaw Mehta (India), Esfandiar Ekhtiari (Iran), Bomi Patel (N. America) and Malcolm Deboo (UK/Europe) or their delegates. Anyone interested in our worldwide community affairs is welcome to attend. Please identify your interest in participating, as early as possible, to the co-chairs, so that venue and food arrangements can be made. Suggested agenda items for discussion may also be sent to the co-chairs. A full agenda will be prepared and circulated immediately prior to the CTR. As usual there will be a small charge to cover some of the costs. For boarding and lodging information, please contact Rustom Engineer rustome@comcast.net.
