Our Malcolm Baug resident, 69 years old PESI ERUCHSHAW GORWALLA, a retired Zarthosti of modest means, sufferred a brain stroke at 3-30 p.m. today at his home in Divecha Building. His cartoid artery was blocked which prevented any blood to go the right side of the brain. This caused left sided paralysis. He was immediately taken to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. After undergoing all necessary tests and MRI Scan, he underwent Cerebral Angiography later in the evening. Doctors attending on him are Dr. Ms Anu Agarwal and Dr. Manish Srivastava.

Total cost of this hospitalisation has been estimated around Rs.6,00,000/-.

The hospital is asking for a deposit of Rs.3,00,000/- from which the family managed to raise Rs.48,000/- today and paid the hospital, being towards Rs.8,000/- for MRI Scan and blood report and Rs.40,000/- towards ICU ROOM DEPOSIT. THE BALANCE Rs.2,60,000/- IS REQUIRED TO BE PAID BY TOMORROW (FRIDAY) towards Operation Clearance Deposit.

From the total cost estimated around Rs.6,00,000/-, the family can provide about Rs.2,50,000/ by liquidating their bank fixed deposits, thus there is a deficit of Rs.3,50,000/- which need to be raised urgently.
