The opening ceremony of the XVIth North American Zarathushti Congress 2012 was held on Thursday August 02, 2012. Commencing at 8:30 AM with the Procession of Priests, it included welcome addresses by the Congress Co-chairs, FEZANA Office Bearers, ZAGNY and IZA Presidents. A Military Roll of Honour, Gujarati Monajats, Iranian traditional songs, the Flag March, the singing of the USA and Canadian National Anthems completed the ceremony. This was followed by a Key Note Address by Dr. Trita Parsi.
