APPEAL FOR DONATIONS

This venerable institution was founded in 1915 as Parsee Maternity Hospital, popularly known as Suvavarkhanu, with capacity of 12 beds and providing for 40 days stay in the hospital for Parsee maternity patients.
As the number of Parsee patients declined due to low-birth rate and Parsee migration, the hospital, in 1968, changed into D. N. Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital. At present, the Hospital has the capacity to treat 125 patients ably treated by panel of competent physicians and surgeons under the leadership of Dr. Zubin K. Saklat and Dr. Harshad. N. Desai.

The Hospital provides relief to Parsee and other patients according to its financial resources. Due to inflation as well as decreasing interests on corpus, it is difficult to carry out regular repairs and maintenance of the Hospital which will be completing 100 years in February 2015. The Board of Trustees make an earnest appeal to Charity Trusts and Charitably inclined persons for donations for repairs, renovation and maintenance for the Hospital structure.

Donations are accepted in Cash / Cheque / Demand Drafts in favour of D. N. Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital, for which official receipts will be dispatched without fail.
