NMDFC was established by Government of  India, with a very laudable objective of providing economic assistance to the poorer sections of notified Minority Communities in the country. As a Social Sector Finance Corporation. NMDFC has established many milestones and has achieved new heights in the terms of its performance.

The corporation has emerged to be leading Social Sector Corporation in most of the parameters, working for the economic empowerment  of Specifically defined Socio-Religious Communities (SRCs) in this case, Minority communities.  The corporation has been able to disburse more than Rs.2700.00 crores as concessional credit to approximately 10,00,000 (1 million) beneficiaries, from its target group during two decades of its existence, for which all the officers/members of staff (present & past) of the Corporation deserve commendation.
