Ashdeen Exhibition in Mumbai
ASHDEEN hand embroidered saris are inspired by centuries of craft and craftsmanship of the Orient and Persia. The label is designed by Ashdeen Z. Lilaowala.
Ashdeen creates spectacular saris, apparel and accessories for clients around the world. They evoke an aesthetic of the traditional Parsi garas and kors. In his contemporary creations- flying cranes, fluttering butterflies and dancing birds entwine themselves with flora and fauna, in a narrative fashion so unique to the Orient.
These precious pieces are painstakingly embroidered with silk threads, silver and gold zari, all by a team trained by the designer himself for almost a decade at his atelier in Delhi.
Ashdeen will be hosting his annual Mumbai Exhibition in the leafy by lanes of Dadar Parsi Colony on Friday 20th andSaturday 21st February at Della Tower. The show is on from 10am to 7pm. Mumbai Invite
