  • I stayed with my family at the Delhi Dharamsala from 22nd to 26th March 2017. The Air-conditioned rooms on the first floor, at Rs. 1400 per day for 2 people, are large and well maintained but the rooms on the ground floor and the food leave plenty to be desired. The mandatory rule of the Management binding on hapless guests, of paying for the breakfast, whether or not the guest eats it, should be discontinued. The Fire Temple in the compound is immaculately maintained.

  • It was almost 3 decades ago, but remember it. The crazy rule of paying mandatory for breakfast, even though it was not even offered to me and the loss (obviously stolen) of an amount close to Rs. 5000 to Rs. 6000 from my luggage bag kept in the locked hotel room when I went for an exam.
The place always felt unsafe and filled with very weird servants whose eyes were always upon us, and were well trained to keep observing the guests and steal from their baggages when they went out. Later, on discussion we heard very similar complain stories from few parsees in Navsari and Bombay that the lady manager was “chor” and running a gang type robbery of visitors with her servants, via the Parsi Dharamshala.

  • As an internal auditor of a Nationalised Bank i visited Delhi twice/thrice from 1972 to 1977 for 4/5 months each time & had a very comfortable stay & good food at the Delhi Parsi Dharmashala. Charges were very reasonable. Built-up contact s with other touring Parsees
Indeed it’s a very centrally located place.

  • Added advantage of having a Dadgah in the same compound. Courteous all round service I always got.

  • Rs 1400 for 2 per night for new delhi is exceedingly reasonable with the current inflation on bed and breakfast basis specially
