SOOTHE THE SOUL

Join FEZANA and Zarathushtis worldwide for

SOOTH THE SOUL

A virtual gathering of prayer, song and spirit in the midst of the
COVID-19  pandemic
During these uncertain times, a few FEZANA members want to bring the Zoroastrian community together virtually in prayer and devotional songs.

Spiritual words bring solace to human beings. Every calamity and every dark cloud has a silver lining. Hope is eternal. Prayer serves as a reminder that we are all together with Ahura Mazda’s blessings, and we will prevail.

In this short video, Ervads Pervez Patel, Cyrus Pavri, Porus Pavri recite all the prayers and the translations while Mani Rao sings all the Monajats.

Ushta Te. Happiness unto you.

    Certainly a wonderful thought!

Having said that, allow me to make some brief comments that may perhaps be not accepted by the majority of Zarathushtis around the globe – and that wouldn’t bother me in the least.

Why put your refreshing initiative on YouTube, when this could be nicely done as a MP3 recording? This way, you could have eliminated the possibility of having the non-Zarathushtis actually see and listen to our liturgical prayers. Unless of course, people doing this initiative do not have such beliefs anymore, or for that matter, never had it in their lifetime. And sadly enough, the mobeds themselves participating in this initiative have also decided to put aside their learnings on rituals, from the time they were ordained as Navar/Murtab.

Whatever message is there to ‘Soothe The Soul’ during this precarious times, whatever prayers and monajats that you wish to offer to our global community could be well attained just through an audio medium for people to listen, unless of course the organizers are keen to show themselves in action – a way to fulfill their need for self-glorification.

In any event, I sincerely wish everyone associated with Fezana, and all of the Zarathushtis around the world to keep well and stay safe during this pandemic. Let us remember, no storm lasts forever. Hold on! Have faith! Every storm is temporary, and we’re never alone. Ahura Mazda is always there for us!

  • Sooth Asho Zarathuhstra’s Soul by preaching the Right Pristine Message

  • Sorry but on earth you may be an Ervad but once you leave this earth you are just a lowly lonely old soul

There you are again – my favourite sparring partner!

You know what Farida? There are some people in this world whose main enemy happens to be their common sense. I’m afraid you’re one of them.

Look, false knowledge is even dangerous than ignorance. Keep an open mind – you’ll learn something:

Lowly wretched souls will be those who, when on this earth, have blatantly disrespected the wisdom that’s emanated from our age old treasured scriptures – it would not matter an iota at that time whether you’re an Ervad or a ‘bhangi’ who has all along pretended to be a Zarathushti on the face of this earth.

You too, keep well and stay safe.

  • I have an open mind. As I said Whether an Ervad or Vada you will nor be able to be addressed as one wjen you exit this world. But a Lowly Lonley Old SOUL You did not what I expressed. The TRUTH

  • I don’t think want me to go public on Bigotry Racism Discrimination ? Name names etc/

  • “”Why put your refreshing initiative on YouTube, when this could be nicely done as a MP3 recording? This way, you could have eliminated the possibility of having the non-Zarathushtis actually see and listen to our liturgical prayers””.
