Due to limited capacity of getting on the ZOOM call, the ZOOM call will be broadcasted live on the YouTube link below. There will 30 seconds delay between what is on the live ZOOM call and YouTube. We will also use the chat on YouTube for taking any questions.
We would not hold winter Olympics in mid-June nor would we expect flowers to bloom in mid-January. Wouldn’t it be ridiculous to look for fall colors in April, or spring thaw in August? Then, why do we celebrate Maidyozarem (Mid-Spring) Gâhambâr in early fall? and Navrooz (first day of spring) in mid-Summer? Let us explore and appreciate “Mazdayasni Calendar”; a Perfect Calendar, as revealed to us in Bundahishn. Get in tune with nature – follow Nature’s calendar.
Presenter: Fariborz Rahnamoon
Born in Yazd and educated in Mumbai, Fariborz has gained a unique perspective on Zoroastrianism through 40 years of research. Since 2015, he has compiled and published the Mazdayasni Calendarbased on the Bundashshn. This unique calendar is available at www.zarathushticalendar.com
