    Lovely song. Majha aavi gai.

  • Great fun song. Why do I feel that this particular song is based on the original one of the 1950s with the same rhythm and tune, but not as long. The later verses in the song seemed to have been newly incorporated. Nonetheless an extraordinary remake!! Many thanks for posting.

If someone can verify my comments on the possible remake – that would be much appreciated – I could be wrong. Although somethings in life you seldom forget – music is one of those things. I remember the last two lines of this song as ” Fort market ne badle too to black market thai gai” and not “Jai Maharashtra thai gai”. In any event, a great song bringing good old memories!!

Yes original song Fort market ne badle to black market thai. If I m not wrong late Merazban Mehta has sung the song composed by his late father Dara Mehta. I say this because my father Phiroze Bhagalia composed Parsi fun songs together with Dara.

  • This is an updated version of the original..

And yes, there is one more version by Manijeh Mistry performed by the BZA group .. Equally tongue-in-cheek and funny..
