The Zoroastrian Association of Chicago takes great pleasure in inviting all friends of ZAC, to come and share in our celebrations.

ZAC will be honored to have friends from FEZANA and all the FEZANA associations across the USA and Canada, come and share in our festivities.

We will be honored if all those who were with us at the inauguration of the Darbe Mehr 25 years ago, come and share this happy occasion with us.

We will be honored if all those 17 mobeds who participated in the Inaugural Jashan in 1983,  mobeds from across North America, and especially the Next Generation of Mobeds, will honor us with your presence at the Grand Jashan.

We take pleasure in inviting all WZCC executives, business persons and professionals in Chicago, and across North America, to come and take pride in the successes of Zarathushti business and enterprise, to be showcased at the WZCC event.

SATURDAY 5:30 pm “SILVER JUBILEE GALA” will be a ‘black tie and gara’ affair showcasing our history, heritage and culture.  The unforgettable evening of feasting and festivities, will include:
     – Opening Ceremony;
     – Multi-media presentation featuring all ZAC presidents;
     – Cutting of the Silver Jubilee Cake;
     – Indian and Persian dances;
     – Fashion Parade of “Parsi and Persian dress through the Centuries;”
     – Grand Persian and Parsi banquet;
     – Music and dancing.

SUNDAY 11:00 – 5:00 pm  “HONORING THE PAST, BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE” will include:
     – Grand Jashan;
     –  Luncheon buffet; 
     – Recognitions and Honors for our Mobeds, our Next Generation, our elders; 
     – Sharing our Vision for religio-cultural infrastructure for ZAC and FEZANA;
     – Musical skit “Story of ZAC”; 
     – Game show by ZAC youth;
     – Songs by ZAC choir.

MONDAY 9 am – 3 pm: “CELEBRATING ZARATHUSHTI BUSINESS & ENTERPRISE,” organized by WZCC, will include:
     – Showcasing of Zarathushti Business and Enterprise.
     – Luncheon and keynote speaker.
     – Inspiring speakers.

Our Hospitality Committee will make every effort to make your stay comfortable, with airport pickups, transportation and discounted rates at a nearby hotel or with host families.

Greetings from the Youth Assembly!

We would like to share some news about this popular event and invite you to be one of the youth leaders from around the world who are “Taking Plans into Action”.

Fortunately there is still time to register, but hurry, space is very limited!

The Assembly itself:
It is gratifying to note the many endorsers and donors who have joined in support of youth leaders who wish to participate in the Assembly, which is, thanks to their support, FREE after registration. To check out a partial list, see the right side column!

Leadership Seminar:
Delegates are encouraged to take part in the optional Leadership Seminar which precedes the assembly: August 6-10, 2008.

In the course of the four-day retreat, participants work with professionals who conduct NGO activities of interest and may even create a working action plan for meeting an existing challenge in their home communities or elsewhere around the world. UCPeace Festival:
Show the world how you use the arts to promote peace and mutual understanding. Youth performance groups (minimum 15 members) are invited to perform in the United Nations to large audiences during the YA. For more information visit: UCPeace Festival

Youth Achievement Award:
We invite YOU, a community leader, guidance couselor, or school principal, to nominate a specially deserving 16-18 year old student for the Youth Achievement Award. All young people who have contributed to humanitarian goals in 2007 are eligible. Awardees are invited to participate in a special ceremony at the United Nations with Olympic Medalists and celebrities. For more information, click on:Youth Achievement Award
