  • When overseas Zoroastrians visit Bombay, there are no Dharamsalas that we can easily stay at, hence the desire to come to Bombay is nil. Why can’t the Parsee Pancayat do up some of the old ones and make them comfy and turn them into decent places for overseas parsees to visit? We would love to bring our children to India and take them to Udwada and show them our place of origin and culture.
The Dharamsalas could charge a reasonable amount like Delhi and provide a safe place. It could generate money to be self sufficient. A shame our children miss out on what could be an experience of a life time. Thankyou

    • Dear Rozana,

    • I TOO AGREE FULLY A DECENT DHARAMSHALA IS A MUST FOR MUMBAI AS THE ONE AT CHARNI ROAD IS NOT IN A SHAPE WHERE PEOPLE CAN STAY TOILETS DIRTY FOOD NOT PALATABLE AND WHEN OUR RELATIVES COME AND COMPLAIN WE FEEL ASHAMED THE MOST HAPPENING PLACE OF PARSIS IN INDIA, GOOD OLD MUMBAI AND NO DECENT PLACE TO PUT UP FOR FEW DAYS IT IS HIGH TIME THE DHARAMSHALA IS FULLY RENOVATED HAVE FEWER ROOMS MAY BE 5/8 OR TEN MAX BUT DECENT WITH ALL AMENITIES THAT IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR I AM SURE OUR PHILANTROPHISTS WILL SERIOUSLY LOOK INTO THIS AND REDO THE DHARAMSHALA AND MAKE TI SELF SUFFICIENT VEERA MUNDROINA

      • A good Parsi Dharamshala is in Nagpur. They have only 6 rooms but nicely done and clean rooms with attached bathroom in all 6 rooms, which is cleaned ever day, 2 rooms out of 6 have Air Condition, DISH network with TV and the food is terrific. Agiyari is next door. No question the best agiyari in the world with garden and structure and maintained so well over years.

I have never had to stay in Dharamshala in Mumbai. I believe they should have atleast 4 dharamshala’s in Mumbai.

    • U r perfectly right. Noone is bothered for other parsi people except themselves. No houses for really poor people. Pay crores fill their pockets and get it.

  • Dear sir,
I have read about the prayers that heal various ailments. Please tell me where I can find the right Avesta book in English that has each and every healing prayer that is on your website, wher I can find this important prayer book for purchase so that I can buy it, start praying and healing my life and marriage. Please help me for I am in desperate need of ahura mazda’s divine help. I have suffered too many disappointments and need some true divine intervention. I am not looking for the prayers translations but the actual mantra vani’s in English words. So that I may pray them daily and bring about great vibration and positive change in my life.
    Sincerely,
    Natasha.

  • I applied for membership with california zoroastrian center it has been difficult for roma/ native americans to open a zoroastrian center mostly because usa anx canada prefer conversion for Christianity and indian status this is also not part of mithraism, sacred sundance to convert to forms of islam Christians and western cultures are also islamic. i am having to ask zoroasyrian associations in other nations to help us to have a safe place to go for prayer and our rituals .i contacted kurdish zoroastrians because they are also roma i also comtacted parsis. it is not asha when a nagions removes our ways our elders then tells us we need their government to assign us on a church or practice or race thars not our own

  • Am Indian want to do Parsis so please suggest any donation to your website and also would like to do something for fire temple like charity. So suggest me online donation or charity option
