Zarathushti Participation in July 4 Parade

Friends,
The attached file has a copy of a picture with caption below it, that appeared in the local Indian community newspaper India-West. You will need to Zoom In to view the .jpg file attachment clearly.

It shows Zarathushti participation (on an Interfaith Council float) in the July 4 2010 (U.S. Independence Day) Parade held in Huntington Beach, California, which is said to be the largest July 4th parade in USA west of the Missisippi.

The home-made small banner held by me, while riding on the float, reads “ZOROASTRIANS WISH YOU HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY ! “. Some people who read the banner became curious and asked me as to who were these “Zoroastrians”, which I was happy to answer. A good opportunity to educate the public, I thought.

Regards,
