Dorab E Mistry – Vice Chair of Inter Faith Network -UK
Dorab E Mistry elected Vice Chair of Inter Faith Network for the United Kingdom
Dear ZTFE Members & Well-wishers
You will be glad to learn that Mr Dorab E Mistry, my colleague on the ZTFE Managing Committee and illustrious predecessor, was elected Vice Chair of the well known Inter Faith Network for the United Kingdom (IFN) at its AGM held on Thursday 12th July 2012.
The Inter Faith Network was established in 1987 and it is often referred as the premier inter faith organisation in the UK. It has access to Government Civil Servants and Ministers, Religious Leaders including the Archbishop of Canterbury. This year IFN celebrates its 25th anniversary. Joining the IFN is one of the best things the ZTFE did, our membership has assisted in inviting to the Zoroastrian Centre the Rt Revd Dr Rowan Williams, Lord Archbishop of Canterbury in 2010 and HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh K.G., K.T. in 2011. IFN membership has also helped in Zoroastrianism being recognised as one of the 9 world faiths in the UK.
Yours sincerely
Malcolm M Deboo
