Raj Bhavan in Mumbai donated by a Parsi!

Sorabji Cawasji Thoothi on 12.10.1844 bought a hill called Angola Doongar at Malabar Point & built 2 bungalows. He died in 29.5.1858.
The Bombay government in 1861 wanted to buy a plot on the far end of Malabar Point with no access & requested Toothi’s wife Cooverbai to give access through her land. She Gifted them her entire property, the land on which today stands Raj Bhavan, Bombay, that houses the Governor !
