Avan followed her artistic instinct right out of school and her love and passion for creativity led her to a Graphic Design program at Sophia Polytechnic. She has always been drawn to the idea of making things, working with her hands, crafting, transforming ideas and visualizing design to make 3 dimensional pieces of handmade art– hence the name OUT OF HAND. As a multi media artist her materials and creative outlets have been varied from polymer clay, fabric, wood, visual merchandising, window displays, wall murals and her foremost passion and specialty Decoupage….always endeavoring to create one of a kind hand crafted beautiful Art. Some stores that she has worked with and supplied to are Contemporary Arts and Crafts, Tresorie Home Store, Baro and Good Earth. She has built a client base for personalized gifts for special occasions, table displays for events small and big and visual merchandising. She particularly enjoys imparting her skills though workshops that are now available online. Conducting art and craft workshops for adults and kids in Decoupage, Up cycle Art, Polymer clay, Mixed media etc. to create beautiful products are all part of Avan’s repertoire.
