In light of the declining numbers of priests (Ervads or Mobeds) who are actually serving the community, we need to encourage Mobedyars or Behdin Pasbans, who are actually serving teParsi, Iranian and intermarried families with prayers at functions like Jashans, Gahambars and Porsehs etc. at public events and at private homes, by treating them with equality like we treat hereditary Mobeds or Ervads. The recently started Mobed Endowment Fund by FEZANA is disrespecting Mobedyars and Behdin Pasbans (who are not from priest families) by NOT COVERING them as beneficiaries of this new Mobed Fund.
