Vicki Treadell CMG MVO was one of Britain’s most senior diplomats. Her diplomatic career saw
roles as British Deputy High Commissioner to India (heading the I-JK’s Western India network in
Mumbai, 2006-2010) and as British High Commissioner to New Zealand & Samoa (2010-2014),
Malaysia (2014-2019) & then Australia (2019-2024), where she was also Head of the United
Kingdom’s Oceania Network across Pacific Island countries.
She has worked at the highest levels Of government, business and academia, securing international
& bilateral relationships, as well as engaged across civil society in the countries where she has
served. From landing significant foreign investment into the 0K, supporting UK export growth,
leading major campaigns (e.g. promoting UK education, advocating Climate Action & Renewable
Energy Transition) as well as the I-JK’S response to crises such as the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks
& the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, she sees compassion & courage as vital leadership attributes.
An accomplished strategic communicator, keynote & inspirational speaker, Vicki now focuses on
mentorship & advisory roles. Her passion for gender equality & female empowerment underlines
her role as Vice Chair of The Wornen of the Future programme, where she also chairs its Advisory
Board. Vicki is a HALO Trust Ambassador.
