After the churning of the Ocean, the Asuras split from the Devas and settled in Persia, their God Asura Mazda appeared in a vision to Zarathustra and proclaimed him to be divinely ordained prophet of a revised religion called Zorastrianism.
By the 7th Century BC, Zorastrianism had penetrated into Western Iran and converted the Magi, their Holy Priests, who were ancient practitioners of the Rig-Veda.
Zorastrianism survived because of the high moral and ethical standards contained in its teachings.
Isaiah 45:1 identifies Cyrus the Great as the Messiah . . . His story is reflected in the Bible NT.
The Passion is an allegory of the Sacian Feast held by the Persians. They take one of their prisoners who has been condemned to death, set him upon a Kings throne, give him royal apparel, permit him to drink and dance for one day. Thereafter, they strip and scourge him and hang him.
The crucifixion of Jesus copies the crucifixion of Cyrus by the Scythians.
Also, the Jewish Temple was a copy of the Sun Temple at Persepolis.
So, in effect, Zorastrianism is the root of all the three major religions.
It is bitter irony that Zorastrianism was nearly extinguished by Islam, a copy-cat religion of Judaism which was a copy-cat religion of Zorastrianism.
