Contribution of the Parsi Community in Framing and Defending the Constitution of India

“India’s Constitutional Odyssey: 75 Years of Evolution and Global Reach” is a distinguished compilation of essays authored by eminent judges, lawyers, and jurists from across the world. The book commemorates 75 years of the Constitution of India, reflecting on how this foundational document has evolved since its adoption on 26th January 1950.
The volume is enriched by a foreword from Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, and an introduction by Hon’ble Justice Vikram Nath, Judge of the Supreme Court of India and the next in line to assume the office of Chief Justice.
My son Shayan was invited to contribute to this prestigious work by the Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Siddharth Sijoria, along with the publisher, Mohan Law House. I am sharing his article, titled “Contribution of the Parsi Community in Framing and Defending the Constitution of India,” which appears on page 175 in the book. Through this piece, he has sought to present a well-researched account of the significant yet often understated role played by the Parsi community in shaping, safeguarding, and upholding the core constitutional values of our nation.
