Maneckshaw Maneckji Hormusji
For the first time public can see Maneckshaw Maneckji Hormusji. A person who had sworn to anonymity and celibacy as a spiritual tenet. He was an astute banker and during his employment he facilitated and opened 105 branches of Bank of India. In those days Imperial Bank had the right to refuse middle class people and small salaried people from having bank accounts. He refused to be bullied and set up branches.
He Refused any public awards. Prayed 5 times a day every single day. Encouraged more than 1000 Parsis to understand and invest in stock markets. Passed away at 97 in the year 2005. Stayed and worked in Aden for 4 years helping Indian & Parsi businesses stuck in political turmoil to relocate to Walkeshwar. Always refused public appearances. Most sought after clairvoyant of his time. Advisor to Emporer Reza Pahlavi the First. Sponsor of the wedding & Navjote hall in Navsari that is now Meher Apartments. May his light shine on every Parsi in not just banking and finance industry but all fields.
