Call for World Zoroastrian Congress Proposals

Dear Friends,

Greetings! At the “Coming Together Roundtables” held each year since the World Zoroastrian Congress in London, matters pertaining to our worldwide Zarathushti ‘Community without Borders’ are discussed and actions proposed.  The topic of establishing a process with.global involvement, for the selection of a host and venue for the World Zoroastrian Congresses, has been on the agenda of the Roundtable for some years.

The attached docoument, “World Zoroastrian Congress Guidelines and Selection Process for Host/Venue”, inspired by the Coming Together Roundtable, has now been prepared, enabled by the persons listed below:

We are requesting that you urge the organizations that you may be associated with, to submit a proposal to hold the next World Zoroastrian Congress, following the Congress in Dubai in December 2009.  Congresses are generally held at intervals of 4 to 5 years.  The process and guidelines are described in the document.   Proposals may be sent to Rohinton M. Rivetna,  preferably by email to Rivetna@aol.com, by November 30, 2008.  They will then be forwarded by the Coming Together Roundtable administrator, to a Selection Committee for evaluation.
