Beijing Platform for Action Study Group: Jourdan Williams, Susan O’Malley & Winifred Doherty
This group will study existing UN and human rights documents to publish a document that institutionalizes the data, demonstrates best practices and aids in consultations going forward for Beijing+25.
Consultation Day: Houry Geudelekian, Azadeh Khalili & Mary Luke
Kickoff to the NGO CSW Forum enabling the attendees to have additional insight into the priority and review themes, this year being a review of the Beijing Platform for Action.
Conversation Circles Space: Ivy Koek & Terry Ince
An open space to meet, connect and exchange ideas during the first three days of CSW64. A place also to give your input into the Feminist and Women’s Movement Action Plan. From 9 to 11 March between 10 am and 6 pm, all participants are welcome at the Armenian Convention Center Grand Hall as we host this culturally rich experience. Join us!
Handbook: Yvonne O’Neal and Alexa Ward
Working in conjunction with a professional printer and layout expert, develop the materials to be included in the printed handbook.
Orientation: Pamela Morgan & Maryann Tarantula
The committee will provide information/training on the purpose and structure of the Forum, its relationship to UN Women and the CSW Bureau, and how best to prepare first time participants to get the most out of attending the NGO CSW Forum.
Rally: Saeeda Rizvi & Joy Theriot
The rally is held on Friday of the first week of NGO CSW to celebrate the theme of the CSW. It includes a program of speakers and the chair of NGO CSW/NY with music, poetry and dance.
Reception: Saphira Rameshfar & Madeleine Brecher
Hors d’ouevres and drinks available in a cocktail party setting where attendees are invited to wear their native dress.
Artisan Fair: Rosa Lizarde & Bishnu Pariyar
Artisans presenting and selling their wares. There is no charge to attend the fair. The artisans pay to rent a table to cover the cost of renting the room.
Woman of Distinction Award: Margaretha Jones & Mary Luke
Each year, a woman is honored for her achievements in moving forward the women’s agenda. This year, in celebration of Beijing+25, the committee will select 5 awardees, one for each region. |
