  • To incorporate Aatash, the symbol of Ahura Mazda, into a scientifically sound explanation of motion and energy as stated in the article is farfetched and ludicrous.

To justify that “heat is a form of fire” is an absolute erroneous statement – that’s nothing more than a discovery by Ilm-e-Khshnoom. The rationale – heat is a measure of thermal energy of an object – it is completely independent of fire.

To impress people with bold-typed text saying “the axiom is that wherever there is motion there is Atash” is once again very misleading, but nonetheless, fulfills the agenda of Ilm-e-Khshnoom.

Furthermore, Chiniwalla attempts to assert that “Atash is stated to be the expanse of the whole Creation”. This is very questionable at best, as none of our scriptures even mildly allude to that. Instead, Ahura Mazda is the expanse of the whole Creation. Granted, fire is the symbol of Ahura Mazda, but that should not be a substitute when referring to the existence and manifestation of Creation. Ahura Mazda has been there for time immemorial and will always be there for ever, as in the 101 Names of Ahura Mazda we refer to Him as “Azamaan”, meaning “timeless”.

Of course, we cannot overemphasize the purity and the glory of Aatash Padshah Saheb, and we as Zarathushtis, as and when possible, must pray in front of a consecrated fire, which is in Agiaryis and Aatash Behrams. At the least, a lit “divo” in our home could be a good alternative. Rightfully, Aatash is considered the son of Ahura Mazda, as stated in our Aatash Niyaish.

Khshnoomists are known to inject their ideology into our Mazdayasni Zarathushti religion, thus, forcefully claiming that what they propose is correct, based on their 19th century “discoveries”, and what has been handed down over the last thousands of years by Asho Zarathushtra and His disciples is all outdated and wrong.
