Respected Chairman,
As I can recollect since my school days in 1950 the Zoroastrian Bank had the first vision to promulgate the idea of Today’s the so-called Mutual Fund in that time by naming it as Arus-Purus nu Fund and the Bank was small enough in the Horniman Circle area and had employed a few Parsi bawajees who would go round on their bycycles to the households of the parsis and explain to them about the advantages of this Arus-Purus nu fund.
With the efforts of these bawajees the Bank could certainly carry on additional tasks and could benefit both , the customer as well as itself . This is how the concept of Mutual Fund was first brought out by the Parsis.
In my opinion, if the minutes of meetings spread over a 100-yr period are to serve as an important (though not only) resource, then these minutes should first be digitized in an editable format. This will facilitate a subject-wise categorization of all contents.
The pioneering work of establishing the concept of Mutual Fund (in todays age) was first done by ZCBL by starting Arus-Purus Nu Fund.
Our Zoroastrian Bank was first to introduce the concept of Mutual Trust when it had begun its Gujarati concept Arus-Parus Nu Fund in the early days of Bank History.
