Dear Donors, Friends & Well Wishers,

We are pleased to share with our esteemed donors, friends and well wishers an update of our annual drive to distribute food grains and utility items to 323 economically challenged families at 59 different places in Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra.

WZO Trust Funds Kindles Hope and Dignity to 300+ Families
through Annual Food Grains & Essentials Distribution
Drive in Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra.

In its continuing efforts to support underprivileged families living in remote and interior villages, The WZO Trust Funds once again carried out its annual distribution of food grains and essential household supplies, reaching more than 323 families across rural Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra during this January and February 2026.
For many families residing in the interior areas surrounding Navsari, access to basic necessities remains a daily struggle. Recognizing this reality, The WZO Trust Funds organized a five-route distribution drive covering 59 centres especially villages of Navsari District,, Vansda, Dharampur Taluka, Dadra and Nagar Haveli (UT), and Palghar Taluka.

Volunteers and Trustees travelled long distances to personally hand over relief kits, witnessing firsthand the quiet resilience of families facing economic hardship. The smiles, folded hands of gratitude, and heartfelt blessings from elderly beneficiaries reflected the true impact of this initiative — not just relief, but renewed hope.

Each kit was carefully curated and designed to support a family for nearly four months and included:

15 kg Groundnut Oil, 20 kg Tuvar Dal, Wheat 15 kg, four varieties of different pulses each for 5 kg, Sugar, Tea, Toothpaste and Toothbrush, comforter bed sheet, towels and napkins, the value of each package being Rs.9,000.
Beyond providing nourishment, the initiative aimed to restore dignity and reassurance to families who often feel forgotten. For many recipients, this support means fewer nights of worry and more days of stability.

The Trust extends its deepest gratitude to our many donors, especially:

The Zoroastrian Charity Funds of Hong Kong, Canton & Macao,
Bai Maneckbai P. B. Jeejeebhoy Deed of Settlement Funds, Mumbai,
World Zoroastrian Organisation, London,
Dr. Porus Turner, for sponsoring the dental items.

The generosity of each of the above over the last 25 years and more continues to light up countless homes.

Our mission goes beyond distribution — it is about standing with communities at their most vulnerable times. Every packet delivered carries not just food, but compassion. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve marginalized communities and expand our outreach to bring comfort, care, and dignity to those in need.

We are very thankful to our volunteers Mrs. Sharmin Tamboly, Mrs. Simin Bharda (from Navsari) and Mr. Hoshadar Parakh (Mumbai) for combining their shoulders with Trustees to carry out this full exercise of distribution.

Our next bout of distribution will begin by end February / early March when food grain packages will be distributed to around 600 economically challenged families in and around Mumbai & suburbs by our volunteer Jimmy Gadiwalla.

Trustees, Administration, Volunteers all express sincere gratitude to donors for their largesse which enables us to undertake such humanitarian initiatives year upon year.
Warm regards,
Dinshaw Tamboly

  • It’s a good initiative. However some of them are completely undeserving. No sooner does your tempo leave the donees sell the goods so they can fund their activities. Please do visit them at home.
