In her role, Narges drives the firm’s DEI vision and strategy, championing initiatives that foster a culture of belonging, opportunity, and respect. Through her leadership, Mintz continues to build an environment where individuals are empowered to contribute their unique perspectives, engage in meaningful dialogue, and thrive professionally. Her work strengthens not only the firm’s culture but also its ability to deliver exceptional service to clients and communities alike.
Before assuming her current leadership role, Narges was a partner in Mintz’s Litigation Practice, where she represented clients in complex, high-stakes disputes. A passionate advocate for access to justice, she also served as Vice Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Program, dedicating countless hours to representing immigrants seeking political asylum and other forms of humanitarian relief in the United States.
Narges’s commitment to Womankind spans nearly a quarter century and reflects her unwavering dedication to advancing justice, dignity, and safety for survivors of gender-based violence. Her journey with the organization began in 2001, when, as a law student, she volunteered as a translator for a Womankind client pursuing political asylum. What started as a single act of service grew into decades of transformative leadership and advocacy. Over the years, Narges has provided pro bono legal counsel to both Womankind and its clients, joined the Board of Directors in 2010, and played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s governance and strategic direction. She helped with the organization’s rebranding from the New York Asian Women’s Center to Womankind, helping position it for greater impact and visibility. She also helped launch Womankind’s pro bono legal referral program, expanding access to critical legal support for survivors. Narges later served as Chair of the Board, guiding the organization through a period of growth and transformation. Today, she remains a trusted advisor, generous pro bono partner, and steadfast champion of Womankind’s mission. Through her professional achievements, visionary leadership, and decades of service, Narges exemplifies the resilience, courage, and commitment to justice embodied by the Phoenix of the Year Award.
