TOI journalist bags award for irrigation scam expose
Mumbai: Nauzer Bharucha, senior editor at the Times of India, won the Red Ink Award for Excellence in Indian Journalism 2013 for political writing for his series of reports exposing irregularities to the tune of Rs 20,000 crore in state irrigation projects.
Bharucha shared the award with Samanth Subramaniam of The Caravan. The awards were distributed at NCPA, Nariman Point on Saturday. Bharucha’s parents collected the award on his behalf as he was out of town.
Union information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari, who was the guest of honour, said self-regulation is best for the media. He also said that a lot more requires to be done with a “collective application of mind of both of us—media and the politicians”. TNN

This is where i saw it first — a tiny mention at the end about Nauzer Bharucha in the penultimate paragraph:
‘Media Must Regulate Self to Avoid Judicial Intervention’
Later while i was looking for it in TOI i found this different link (same message) posted by “CA. Jehangir Bisney” from Secunderabad in email@example.com … and you beat me to it
So Congratulations to Nauzer Bharucha… must say he really keeps the Z flag flying high at TOI.
I would particularly like to urge every one to read his Salt Pans story which appeared in today’s TOI on Pages 1 and 8, or:
