Dr. Mazda K. Turel is an alumnus of Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. groups of Hospitals in Mumbai. He has also pursued an M.Ch degree in Neurosurgery from the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, where he was awarded the Jacob Chandy Gold Medal; a feat achieved by only 4 other graduates. He is a prolific researcher who has 80 publications in reputed scientific journals. He is the proud recipient of many national and international accolades. Dr. Turel’s specialization is the treatment of diseases of the brain and spine. He is known for bringing a new approach to neurosurgery that is both balanced and aggressive. He believes in an inclusive approach where the patient’s family, medical staff and his own team work together to help the patient.
