What a wonderful and vibrant celebration! The Parsi community in Victoria created a truly immersive and family-friendly experience for Navroz, blending traditional customs with modern-day festivities. The Jamva Chalo Ji event, celebrating Zoroastrian Heritage was a great way to bring the community together.
• Parsi Attire Fashion Show: Seeing the traditional Parsi garments on display, especially in a fashion show was a beautiful way to appreciate the elegance and craftsmanship of Parsi clothing. Our models ranged from 5 yr olds to 50 yrs plus. What a show it was!
• Gujarati Natak by Children: It was amazing to see the younger generation actively involved in preserving and sharing their rich culture through performances. A Gujarati Natak performed by children was a delightful, lively touch to the celebration.
• Navroz Haft Sheen Table: This symbolic table, which is a beautiful tradition was a meaningful way to Honor the customs associated with Navroz and reflect on themes like renewal, prosperity, and good health.
• Lagan nu Bhonu: This was one of the most cherished parts of the Navroz celebrations! Catered by our very own Pazban’s Catering, The Lagan nu Bhonu was a feast of Parsi delicacies, and it’s always a treat to enjoy dishes like Patra ni Macchi , Gosh No Pulav , Lagan nu Custard among much more.
