Greetings .

I am sending a petition I have made which I have made to the U.S Congress and California State Assembly  that I have titled

Timeless Zoroastrian Legacy to Commerce, Trade, Postal/Passport Services, Justice, and Equality  .

 In support of this petition , I have submitted a detailed 16 page write-up listing the achievements of Darius the Great in 

commerce, trade ,postal services, “just” laws ( Laws of Medes and Persians), and Arta -Xerxes for passports.  

So why is this petition important?  I invite you to consider the argument below and see it from a business/commercial /trade perspective.

My latest research shows that real freedom is practiced today by only 29 % of the world’s population or 2.3 billion people.

Amazingly, we all know that the gold standard for freedom was given by Cyrus the Great in 539 BCE. 71 % of the world’s population have different shades of freedom, from minor restrictions to total dictatorship.

The Timeless Legacy of Cyrus the Great sets the foundation for prosperity. There is a significant correlation between freedom and free market economics. You will find that countries having greater freedom, mostly have greater prosperity.

However, coming back to the 71 % of the population  consider an extreme state with total dictatorship.Pick any .Even in these countries there is a basic need to change currency for a commodity.

Example you exchange say 5 dollars for a pound of chicken or fill in a gallon of gas in your car .That idea of commercial exchange of currency for a unit measure (weight/volume) of commodity is the Genius of Darius the Great, that greatly accelerated trade and commerce replacing the barter system. Likewise  you still have restricted postal services, domestic and international trade flourishing in these countries, although with total governmental control. They also issue passports for international travel, albeit with severe restrictions.

We can now see how ubiquitous this Legacy is. it is for this very reason I would argue the following:

. 1. Civilizations/mankind have lasted and existed due to these commercial  and trade provisions.

2.This Zoroastrian Legacy is really ubiquitous in all countries and in all corners of the world.

3. As with Cyrus the Great, Darius and Arta-Xerxes were endowed with Divine Providence .Darius is mentioned 25 times in the Bible and Arta-Xerxes 14 times. Surprisingly, there are 98 references in the Bible on “Law of the Medes and the Persians” and a couple of references  even to the passport (Arta-Xerxes).

It is also important for the business schools and commercial institutions to know about this legacy. Right now it is all about the superficial Western paradigm of  “civilized” Greek and Roman trade, commerce and coinage, when all origins/aspects of civilization and culture lie fully to the East of Levante.

I feel that CA STATE  Assembly may have something for us in a couple of weeks   .Congressional Record may make us wait longer and that is why I am looking for more pointers if any) .
