Pathways Program (Summer Internship) positions provide opportunities for students to gain work experience while pursuing their education.

Position Duration

These Summer Internship positions will cover a variety of student trainee positions that must end by September 30, 2016.

Program Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age;
  • U.S. citizenship or lawfully admitted permanent resident;
  • Background security investigation;
  • Submission of unofficial school transcript (official transcript will be required prior to job offer);
  • Submission of proof of current enrollment or acceptance for enrollment; and
  • Cumulative 2.8 GPA or better

Vacancy @ Bhuj

I am on the lookout for a young Parsi male to assist with my ventures in Bhuj. The profile would involve looking after and managing a small Heritage Homestay. Remuneration would be dependent on the candidates experience and qualification and would be mutually discussed and fixed after a brief period of probation. Boarding would also be found.

The Bhuj House is a 150 year old traditional Parsi “Courtyard” home in Bhuj. The house has recently been restored, and 4 rooms have been converted to guest rooms. Bhuj is a small town and The Bhuj House is conveniently sited just a short distance from Bhuj’s historic sites and shopping bazaar. Bhuj is an ideal base to explore the larger region of Kutch: many of the craft villages are close by; wildlife-rich areas are just over an hour away, as is a journey out to the breath-taking expanse of salt in the Great Rann. Kutch is also home to the ancient Indus Valley (Harrapan) civilization.

Responsibilities of the homestay would include the overall running of the place. Meeting and briefing international visitors, planning and organising itineraries within kutch, and occasionally accompany visitors on excursions would be required. Maintenance of the homestay and daily admin like store keeping, maintaining daily accounts, shopping, fixing menus and supervising the Kitchen, and overseeing a local team of 5 – 6 personnel would be a part of the responsibilities. Candidates with an interest in hospitality and travel would be ideal.

We have a Resident Parsi population of 42 persons; hence the day-to-day workload is light. There are monthly, seasonal and Muktad prayers and Jashans. Mhow is a small, quiet town with excellent, unpolluted climate. It is conveniently located near Indore; hence there is adequate availability of good educational and medical facilities. There is good connectivity by all modes of transport to Gujarat, Mumbai and all other places within India.

Broad terms of employment are:

A. Financials:

  1. Your Annual Package will be Rs. 6.00 lakhs.

  2. You will retain all amounts received from private prayers and ceremonies.

  3. You will qualify for payments from the BPP under their Mobed Amelioration

B. Leave:

You will be entitled to 30 days leave per annum, under certain terms and conditions.

C. Housing:

You will be provided with rent free, 3 BHK unfurnished housing, which is within the Agiary Complex; hence there is no commute.

D. Duties:

Your duties will include daily 5 times BOI, all Anjuman prayers and upkeep of the Agiary and Doongerwadi. You may conduct any private ceremonies, provided such ceremonies do not clash with the performance of your duties with the Anjuman. You shall be entitled to keep all monies paid for such private ceremonies.
