Looking for heirs of Edulji Mogra

My paternal grandmother, Gulbai Nuusserwanji Mody ( nee Mogra ) had a brother, Edulji Mogra, who went to Shanghai in the late 1800s or early 1900s. They were from the village Tavdi 3 miles from Navsari. Edulji married a Chinese lady and had two sons, one of whose name was Minoo ( am not too sure of the name). I remember my father saying he met Minoo in Hongkong in the 1960s. Would love to connect with them or their descendents if any. Thank you, and best wishes….

  • Edulji Mogra lived in the same street as my grandfather in Hong Kong in 1917 and was his friend. Edulji had a son called Jimmy who was at the Diocesan Boys School in Hong Kong in 1926. Jimmy may have been a POW in the war. I suggest you put a query on Gwulo.com which specialises in Hong Kong’s history and has helped many families get in touch with each other.

  • I think the Edulji Mogra you are looking for is my Great-Grandfather through his daughter Alice. I’ve never been able to find any other information on him or his other relatives besides his wife and children. Please don’t hesitate to reply back to me.
